At Abingdon we aim to teach and develop the resources, skills and resilience that students need to feel confident in embracing their future. Abingdon is divided into the Lower School (aged 11-13), Middle School (aged 13-16) and Upper School or Sixth Form (aged 16-18). Pupils spend two years in Lower School, three years in Middle School and two years in the Sixth Form. Entry to the Lower School is mainly from maintained primary schools and independent schools which finish at the age of eleven, while the Middle School intake is predominantly from preparatory schools. In the Sixth Form there is a further intake of students from the maintained and independent sectors.

Brighton College is an independent day and boarding school for male and female pupils aged from 11 to 18 years. Founded in 1845, it occupies a 12-acre site close to the seafront in Brighton. It is a registered charity, owned and governed by its board of governors who are trustees of the charity. There are three boarding houses for male pupils and two for females on site; a co-educational boarding house for some sixth-form pupils situated close to the campus has been created since the previous inspection. The school has also extended its facilities with a new music school, a new teaching block and a science and sport building.

Cardiff Sixth Form College has been the top academic school in the UK over the past 13 years. In 2025, 94% of students gained all A*-A grades and 99.6% A*-B. 81% of students went on to the QS top universities worldwide, and 56% to the Russell Group. Key subject choices include medicine, engineering, law, natural sciences, computer science, architecture, business, and economics, with 33% of students going on to the top G5 universities in the UK. The original school is situated in the middle of Cardiff, the lively capital city of Wales. The college also opened a second STEM A Level campus in the stunning university city of Cambridge. Students can join Cardiff Sixth Form College for two or one year GCSE courses (aged 14 or 15 years) or A levels (aged 16-17 years).
