Santa Monica Montessori School is a private academic preschool and elementary school through eighth grade based on the philosophy of freeing the child's potential in a stimulating environment. Vista Del Rio School provides special education programs for young men and women, ages 12-18. Vista Del Rio School is a nonpublic school certified by the California Nonpublic Schools and Agencies Unit. Vista Del Rio School is under contract with the El Monte City School District, El Monte Union High School District, West Covina Unified School District, and Hacienda/La Puente Unified School District. The ratio for adults who work directly with children is 1 adult for every 4 students. Average class size is 8. All of the Vista Del Rio teachers are credentialed by the State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Vista Del Rio School staff is committed to its students and to their success in school as they work hard to overcome academic weaknesses, advance in core subject ability levels, and improve their grades. Winston Prep is a co-ed day school with campuses in New York City and Norwalk, CT. Morris Catholic High School is a coeducational college preparatory school, founded in 1957 as a regional high school of the Diocese of Paterson.
